AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS

Right now there are available scholarships for members of Gotland’s nation. The last date to apply is February 15th.

Go to stipendier.uu.se and press “available scholarships”, this is where you find all the available scholarships from Uppsala University spring semester 2022. If you press “Nation scholarships” you will find those scholarships which you can only apply for if you are a member of a specific nation. Here you can select those scholarships which you want to apply for, and then press “Apply”. You then go to “Applications” and then “Finish/Change your application” to fill in important information and attach the documents that are necessary for you to receive the scholarships.

 

The scholarships that are available for Gotland’s nation right now are:

 

Bergwall
Application deadline: 2022-02-15, 17.00

A scholarship is provided for a promising student without means who belongs to the Gotland student nation, preferably a needy student of theology. The nation recommends three applicants, whereupon the nation’s inspector appoints the scholarship holder. The scholarship may be held for three years.

• Amount announced: 12 000 SEK (amount per year)
• Only for students/researchers at Uppsala University

 

Burmeister
Application deadline: 2022-02-15, 17.00

Scholarships are provided for students who lack means, belong to the Gotland student nation, were born on Gotland or of parents born there and are genuinely inhabitants of Gotland. The scholarship holders are appointed by the diocesan chapter in Visby, and the scholarships may be held for four years. Travel scholarships may be paid every fourth year to the individuals already holding scholarships within the foundation.

Karleson
Application deadline: 2022-02-15, 17.00

A scholarship is provided for a dedicated student of theology or the arts and sciences who belongs to the Gotland student nation. Relatives shall enjoy preference. The scholarship is awarded annually by the nation.
