Betty's Pub

Welcome to Betty’s Pub!

Here you will find delicious hamburgers with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free alternatives, together with other side dishes. We have a big assortment of Gotlandic beers and drinks, but of course alcohol free options as well.

Come and enjoy Betty’s pub if you are looking for good food, Gotlandic taste or if you just want to play some pool!

Where is Betty’s Pub?

The pub is hosted either in the nation’s cellar with entrance from Östra Ågatan 13 (the riverside) or in the nation’s ball room with entrance on Klostergatan 2B (the backside). We recommend checking Nationsguiden, Facebook or Instagram to see when Betty’s Pub is open.

Why is called Betty’s Pub?

Betty’s pub is named after Sweden's first female student Bettys Pettersson who of course was a member of Gotlands nation. Betty Pettersson was born on the 18th September 1838 in Visby and died on the 7th February 1885 in Stockholm. She was the first woman to complete the passage of matriculation (maturity exam) on the 16th of May 1871 and the first woman to register at Uppsala University on 27th February 1872.

Do you want to work in the pub?

Those working in the pub are the nation’s club workers (klubbverk) and other students. If you are interested in working in the pub, you can contact our 3Q at 3q@gotlandsnation.se or join the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/workingatgotlands.

Do you want to make a reservation?

Depending on the occasion, it may be possible to book tables in the pub. If you want to reserve a table, you can send an email to our 3Q at 3q@gotlandsnation.se specifying name, purpose, number of people, and time. We will reply as soon as we can.
